Oklahoma Legislative Update 2023
Insurance Agents are entrusted by the citizens of Oklahoma in a role of great responsibility that requires them to practice their profession in a manner that requires them to maintain the highest levels of fiduciary, civic, and moral professionalism. It is incumbent upon Insurance Agents to at all times exercise their profession in a manner and conduct representative of the highest ethical standards, and to provide counsel and advice that is based on knowledge and information that is relevant as well as contemporary. As such, Insurance Agents should always be deeply versed in the professional and ethical licensing standards and requirements that are placed upon them, as well as stay up to date on legislative and/or industry trends and activities as they evolve and shape the profession and products they represent.
This course provides Oklahoma Licensed Agents with an overview of Laws and Rule changes that have occurred in 2023 and affect the business of insurance in Oklahoma. Oklahoma insurance producers and adjusters are required to take at least two hours of continuing education on the subject of legislative changes every renewal period.
